The history of jewellery goes a long way back, most likely even before man-made tools even came into play or when fire was invented (but don't quote me on that). But now that jewellery making is a specialised skill in itself - working as a jeweller in a high-end brand such as Van Cleef and Arpels is ever such the reputable career - people are putting more attention to the bling in our lives.
There are so many different types of jewellery out there today, that even earrings come in so many different styles! So it's no wonder it can be tricky to decide on what next to spend your bonus on.
But hey, that's what I'm here for. My best style tip for picking jewellery? Pick the ones that people will see the most often on you.
For the hair-up babe:
If you like to wear your hair up/back/in french braids, chances are your ears and décolletage will be the part of you that other people will see most often. If so, pay more attention to your earrings and chokers.
For the collarbone showoff:
First up, showing off your collarbones isn't a bad thing. I do it all the time. Why? For the main reason that it's too hot and humid in Singapore to crowd my neck area with fluff.
If you're like me, dangly/chandelier earrings are your best bet! These draw attention to your face by giving you some added colour and make you appear more lively as well.

For the busy mum getting hit every 3 seconds by your active tod:

For the babe with a free spirit:
Your gorgeous hair with perfect waves covers your ears and falls nicely around you. No luck for jewellery to present themselves there without getting caught up in stray strands.
Your best bet will be bracelets and rings! And then, stack them like there's no tomorrow. You know those boho beach chick IG snaps we see all the time? Stack rings? Check. Stack bracelets? Check. Confidence? Triple check!
