A Poem in Honour of the Girl We Call "Belle"

Trouvée.Co Beauty and the Beast Belleville Collection

Belleville

We know her name,

This girl we call Belle.

And though we know not

From whence she came,

Just looking at it,

We surely can tell.

Une belle ville en France,

It must have been,

But it couldn’t contain

A girl and her dream.

Where the cobbled walkways

Make the rain go pitter patter,

And the love of adventure

Shines through like no other.

And where a romance so deep,

It flourishes forever,

That even a rose,

Enchanted,

Just cannot shatter.

We know her name,

This girl we call Belle.

And though we know not

From whence she came,

Just looking at it,

We surely can tell.

Une belle ville en France,

It must have been,

But it couldn’t contain

A girl and her dream.

Where the cobbled walkways

Make the rain go pitter patter,

And the love of adventure

Shines through like no other.

And where a romance so deep,

It flourishes forever,

That even a rose,

Enchanted,

Just cannot shatter.
